马跃进（鲍振江 饰）是一名在厦门生存的拾荒者，他长期混迹在火车站，跟踪扒手，把扒手们扔掉的钱包捡起来，联系失主以勒索小钱财。有一次他捡到了一个钱包，一张女人的照片从钱包里掉出来，被拾荒的小男孩（叶昭 饰）捡到。小男孩一直跟踪马跃进，想趁他上厕所的时候偷走钱包，却被马跃进识破了。马跃进与小男孩纠葛许久之后才弄清，原来照片中的女人和小男孩有很大渊源。马跃进想勒索钱包主人却进入了一个圈套，而小男孩把一切看在眼里。死里逃生后的马跃进与小男孩冰释前嫌，开始了相依为命的生活，被小男孩打动的马跃进决定在新年过后带小男孩去寻找亲人，一老一小踏上了异地的寻亲之旅…… 本片是北京电影学院2012届毕业联合作业，获得了第四十九届台湾电影金马奖等奖项。。On the same day Abbey is diagnosed with ovarian cancer, she and her girlfriend, Miranda, are invited to dinner by Miranda's former self-help group to celebrate the return of their estranged friend, Scott, who left to discover the origins of their practices.
