故事开始于上世纪七十年代空军某部。参谋陈大虎与警卫排长梁亮同时爱上护士李静，而大虎的父亲陈副军长则想让儿子娶烈士遗孤大菊，大虎的母亲极力反对。这时，李静因偷看“禁书”遭批，文工团演员马丽莎进入了大虎母亲的视野。丽莎不断给大虎写情书，但大虎跟本不为所动，他的心里只有李静。母亲极力阻止儿子与李静来往，攻于心计的丽莎则设计了一出“失身”于大虎的假戏，万般无奈的大虎只好娶了他根本不爱的丽莎。李静无法容忍大虎的背叛，欲自杀解脱被梁亮所救，但她对梁亮只有感谢却无法产生爱意......。A mother and a daughter struggle to climb the Swiss Alps while they dig into a past that the mother has spent years suppressing.
