Devastated by the news of her husband's affair and convulsed by waves of grief and rage, twenty something Rose (Greta Gerwig)-vengeful, a bit unhinged, and still clad in her pajama bottoms-drives to a sleepy seaside town in Delaware intent on finding her spouse's lover...。周督察一天到晚只知道工作，完全不理会身边人的感受，黄泽信督察则懂得顾虑别人，不过他有妻有女，再没有年轻时的拼劲了。周、黄负责缉捕常常组织大陆人来香港抢劫的悍匪汉哥，在调查过程中，二人行为改变，黄变得拼劲十足，周也开始懂得为他人着想。汉哥手下阿昌打劫金行之后，与同伙失散，被警方拘捕。周、黄诱使阿昌说出了多个贼窝的位置，但警察到达时匪徒以强大的火力还击，由于无法招架，决定先撤离。而周期性没有随大队撤退，独自继续追捕，为掩护周，黄不幸被汉哥杀害，周化悲愤为力量，终在飞虎队李督察的协助下，将悍匪击毙。。
